I love these colorful wooden chunky puzzles. My 18 month old daughter likes to play with the pieces, but she’s beginning to figure out the concept of matching the peices with the shapes. Age 2+ is appropriate for these puzzles. I buy Melissa & Doug because they are high quality, and made of wood, like things were when I was a kid. This puzzle will last forever if taken care of. The only con with these puzzles is that, with the sturdiness comes weight, and when toddlers throw the pieces, someone or something might get hurt. Not really a problem if you supervise your toddler. I’ve been hit a few times by flying peices, so we’re learning not to throw in the house

my son loves learning his shapes!
My 18 month old loves playing with this puzzle! He already knows his shapes. This is a great learning toy. He also loves to throw the pieces around, so they do get a little banged up around the edges, but overall very sturdy. I'm also glad this toy is non-toxic, because sometimes he uses the shapes as a teether! I would definitely recommend this puzzle to another parent looking to teach their child.
Cheap; paper covering rubs off
My grandson loved these blocks but when they got sticky I wiped them with a damp cloth and the paper started rubbing off. I thought they were painted and would be more durable. Any child's toy should be sturdy enough to wipe clean.
These puzzles are great !
My 18 month old Grandson (and his parents!) love this entire set of puzzles. Baby-boy is able to identify the shapes, and colors, and is able to get the puzzle shapes put back into their correct places. We bought the whole series of puzzles, (Shape-Chunky, Classic Peg, and Mix 'n Match Peg) so he always has a variety to play with. He's also learning to put the puzzles away when he's finished playing with them :-)

i like:
it’s very easy to set up, took me longer the first time, but now only 5 minutes and it’s set up without any help and also take it apart without help.
i took it with me to the beach and it was of great use there. i nursed in the tent, used it as sunshade and baby could have slept in the tent, but she was too excited about the beach fun that time. and it protected us from the piping hot sand because it has a bottom.
it’s a lot of fun for my 2 year old. She loves to play in the tent.
i didn’t like:
it smells very strong from the fresh plastic material the first few times you use it. that was a big turn off for me, i left it outside for a few days, it was rained on and it still smells some.
it can get uncomfortably hot inside the tent on a very hot summerday when it’s over 90 degrees. it helps a little when the side zipper is undone, but it was still pretty uncomfortable inside the tent until it cooled down to the 70s or lower 80s even though it has mesh openings on top for air to come in.
conclusion:
i like this tent and found it to be of good use at the beach and probably in other places, too. I did not regret my purchase despite the two negative points.

For my dog
I bought this for my dog as an indoor dog house. I live somewhere central heating is not available. The only reason I gave this product a three star, being nice by the way, was b/c the bottom part was torn.
Very Happy
We bought this tent because we were going to a hotel & instead of making my 4 year old sleep on the floor (to save a little extra cash) I thought it would be fun to get her something to "camp out" in. She LOVED IT! when it arrived, i set it up & put her small TV in it, and some toys, she played all day, kept yelling how much she loved me. a few days later, we set it up in her room again for a "test night" she slept perfectly, had plenty of room, could fit a friend in there if she wanted a sleep over!!
so far this tent has been very durable, we have fit many toys in it, no rips or tears.
my only complaint is it's hard to keep the "flaps" open on the front, she doesn't want them shut at night.
Cats love it too!
If you live with indoor cats, you'll be very happy to know that after a month of use, there are still no puncture wounds; even with the cats play fighting with one another on either side of the tent material! For parents, the "skylights" offer easy viewing of the inside while providing good ventilation/lighting. We only use it indoors but it looks sturdy enough to be used outdoors on good weather days. It's the most cheery furnishing we have and our two year old loves it too! Btw, in addition to its 4'x4' footprint, you'll need some space around the perimeter to allow the kids to run around and jump in/out without getting hurt.
Great deal
Setup is quick and easy, breaks down into a tiny roll about 14 or so inches long and about 6 inches thick.
Didn't see any built in way to hold the flaps open but didn't search too hard yet for anything not obviously visible.
Not so overwhelming that it cannot be used in the house, which was where i wanted it for, a place my 6 year old can play fort. We already had a tunnel so he's in heaven.
Not the most durable thing in the world, but for the price I wasn't looking for some nice canvas or anything...

We did a lot of research before getting this table and chairs set for our two-year-old daughter and this one definitely came out the winner. It is all made of very sturdy, durable plastic and is extremely easy to put together. The surfaces wipe clean in a snap. Our daughter loves coloring and doing puzzles at this table. It fits two children easily with plenty of surface space on the table for multiple projects. We ultimately went with this classic set because it seemed so much better built than everything else we had seen. The chairs even hold the weight of adults easily. My parents had this same set when we were kids and it is still in great condition (set up at their house for the grandkids). We wanted something that would last for all of our children and feel confident that this set will do just that.

Very good buy
My son is 17 months old, and we use this table as a place for him to play with toys and to eat his snacks. He really likes it, it's easy to clean, and it's the right size for him. It does move around pretty easily -- for instance, he often pushes the table away from himself as he is climbing into the chairs. But I think this is more of a result of my son being new at sitting at a table and climbing into chairs more than anything about the table itself. I think as he gets older, that will be less and less of an issue. The nice advantage of this, though, is that the set is light enough that he can pick up the chairs and move them around himself.
I would definitely recommend this set to others. I think we're going to get years of use out of it.
Mom of twins
This table and chair set is adorable, and my 16 mos twins (boy/girl) really like sitting at the table like big kids. With time, they'll learn to sit for longer periods, but for now they sit for 5 minutes at a time and then want to start climbing on the chairs. for that reason, I wish the chairs were heavier (they're extremely light) so they couldnt turn them over as easily, but the fact that they're lightweight makes it very easy to move the set from room to room. Overall, a very nice set and any shortcomings are no fault of the set, I just think my tots need to develop better patience and attention skills!

Little Tikes Classic Table and Chairs Set
Really not what I expected. I got this for my two year old. The chairs don't have much support to them so he's mostly falling off or tipping over on them. The table is only big enough for one toddler with a coloring book. Table and chairs are both light enough for toddlers to turn upside down,side ways, etc. Thought it would be more sturdy considering the price.
Good, Sturdy Table
Table is durable and chairs are sturdy. The colors are great, especially the red table top to hide the marker and crayon. The tape on the side of the table is optional - we chose not to use it. Chair legs click into place versus screwing (good so that the little ones can't un-screw). Overall, we are very happy with the purchase!

as much as I love the idea of this game, I got it right as my daughter started to show left handedness. This makes it really hard to have the keyboard on one side then lean across your whole body to write. You would think in 2009/10 handedness would be less of an issue but you cannot change sides on the writing area. This bothers me but overall the toy is very good for toddlers (I purchased for a 2 year old) on up, you don’t NEED to buy the extra games, there is quite a bit that comes with it.

4 year old loves this product
My four year old loves this product. She can use it on her own with minimal assistance. It has helped her learn animals and write the alphabet.

A few things I would change but overall it's a great toy

The stylus is too bulky for kids age 3 - 6. Fisher price should make a better stylus for the appropriate age. Everything else is great.
Great toy... worth the price!
This is something that kids can grow with... can buy several different 'characters' (Dora, Scooby, etc.) to add to their collection. My nephew is 2 1/2 and LOVES it!!! His isn't pink though...

My daughter is 3 and knows all her letters and has suddenly become very excited about jigsaws. I thought this would be a great aide to her ‘knowing’ the alphabet apart from singing the song. The pieces are large and seem fairly thick and durable. Each has a train carriage with a letter on it and something in the carriage beginning with that letter eg. Lion in the ‘L’ carriage. She has put it together a few times, but I think because she has to start the alphabet from “A’ each time to figure out the next letter, the whole process is a bit tedious for her, so it isn’t her favorite. Maybe as her knowledge grows she’ll get into it more. When it is finished the child gets a great sense of accomplishment from this puzzle because it is so big. I’d buy it again.

Fun pictures and good construction
Sure, it's great, just not a good teaching tool for my autistic son.
He can't seem to find a sequence from A to B since he has to go by the notches alone (whereas if you already knew the alphabet you can go by letters AND notches).
He can work out pictures and animals in conventional "rectangular" puzzles well enough, so that's the sole reason I bumped a star off, other than that it's a great and fun LOOOOOOOOONG puzzle.
You may get tired of hearing the alphabet!
My daughter is 3 and knows all her letters and has suddenly become very excited about jigsaws. I thought this would be a great aide to her 'knowing' the alphabet apart from singing the song. The pieces are large and seem fairly thick and durable. Each has a train carriage with a letter on it and something in the carriage beginning with that letter eg. Lion in the 'L' carriage. She has put it together a few times, but I think because she has to start the alphabet from "A' each time to figure out the next letter, the whole process is a bit tedious for her, so it isn't her favorite. Maybe as her knowledge grows she'll get into it more. When it is finished the child gets a great sense of accomplishment from this puzzle because it is so big. I'd buy it again.

This thing is over 10 foot long! My four-year-old son LOVES it. He is in preschool, is excited about the alphabet right now, and needs the extra practice. Because each letter is on its own piece, it challenges him to get them in the right order. He keeps going to the engine after he places a piece and saying each letter as he points to them until he gets to the missing letter. He then has to look through the pile of letters, encouraging letter recognition, until he finds the next piece to the puzzle. Wish I had gotten this for him sooner! Pictures are very colorful and cute.
My 3 Year old loves this
Aside from reinforcing the ABCs, this puzzle is bright, colorful and fun. My son loves making the 10 foot long train and singing the ABC song while pointing out the letters on each puzzle piece. He also loves pointing out the the animals that go with the letters. It has become his favourite puzzle right out of the box!
We love it!
My daughter got this puzzle for her second birthday! What a hit! It is durable, educational and lots of fun! Another great product by Melissa and Doug! The only negative can also be a positive but it is really, long so you need alot of floor space!

If you remember and liked the electronic game Simon, then you and your child will be addicted to this game. My 2.5 year old loves pushing the buttons. My 4 year old can play along. Very addicting for parents as well. Very durable toy. Still works from being dropped or pushed around. We’ve had this toy for over 1 year and boys are still interested in it and it has held up well.

Excellent for Autistic Children
This memory and color toy has proven to be very intriguing to my 4 year old grandson. I bought it for him at Christmas time and while he struggled a bit at first, he frequently plays with it. It makes him laugh out loud, which is music to my ears.

Grandchild enjoyed it
Bought this for one of the grandchildren at age 4 1/2. It kept her entertained for short burst..but she always went back to play with it. As far as the eductational value...at that age and with this type of toy, it is not easy to assess. At the least she is learning to respond to the toy. Despite the number of drops, kicks, and ooops...it takes a beating and keeps on working.

Don't buy this toy. Here's the main problem...there is logically no way to determine which "gismo" is assigned to a particular part of a sequence. The toy plays a sequence, like a song with five parts or numbers 1-5, then it randomly assigns each gismo with one part/number in the sequence. That's fine, but there is NO way to tell which gismo is assigned to a given part/number. The child is meant to activate the gismos in order to recreate the sequence. The lights are no help as they just all flash randomly and are not part of the sequencing, which is very confusing. Or even worse, they flash in a series going clockwise around each gismo, leading one to believe that the first light that flashed corresponds with the first part/number in the series...which is not the case. If you recall the toy Simon, and liked it as I did, you will be very disappointed with this. Simon presented a sequence and communicated that sequence to the child by a series of lights that flashed in a particular order. This toy does not operate the same. It is not logical and is extremely irritating. Its going back. I expect more from Leap Frog.

This bed is fantastic. Our convertible crib was broken in a move, so it could only be used as a crib (and not convert like we did for our first son). Our second son had a horrible problem of getting his knees and chubby thighs stuck in the slats of the crib so we had to move him to a bed at 15 months. He is a shorty, so I was afraid of him being able to get in and out and falling off, etc. This bed was the perfect choice. It is low to the ground, but incredibly and surprisingly sturdy. It is plain wood so you don’t have to deal with some cartoon character so it isn’t too overwhelming and instead you can just dress it up with different sheet sets and it looks great. I put this together myself (with the help of my 3 y/o) in about 2 hours. It would have been quicker without my little “helper”. I do advise that you use an actual Allen wrench and regular wrench and not the ridiculous cheap ones that come in the little tool kit. That’s it! Both of my kids love it and my child has had no issues.
Please be advised that this bed only holds up to 50 pounds, so I would suggest you not lay down in it with your child. I haven’t tried testing the weight limit, but I don’t feel like finding out if it would hold me.

Adorable and very sturdy!
This is my Son's first bed, he only used a crib for a couple of months and then he ended up with us. He helped me set up this bed (which, did not take very long) and he's been sleeping in it on his own. We all know toddlers sleep like little wild people and he has never fallen out. We couldn't have chosen a better bed for our almost 2 year old! All in all, we're very, very, content with our purchase!

Good Bed for Young Toddlers
This bed was sort of hard to put together. But it's very low to the ground which is great for young toddlers. My baby started crawling out of her crib at 15 months, so I had to get a bed low to the ground that she could get in and out of easily. This is good bed for exactly that reason.

Low to the ground and strong enough for me to sit and lay on with my child, bench at the end is a nice space for a child to play and read, I am very happy with this bed.

This set includes lots of little pieces for little hands. It seems age appropriate for my granddaughter (3 1/2) for her Plan City doll house.
